1. Introduction : Kamala Nehru College was established on 20th July 1964 as known ‘Government College for Women’ in Defense Colony in New Delhi. Initially, when college started, it offered courses only in Arts Stream later commerce stream was also added to the courses offered from the college. The college in its entire history is renamed twice once in 1967-68 as “Modern College for Women’ and 1972 Kamala Nehru College. College currently is located at August Kranti Marg.

4. Facilities : Apart from normal educational facilities including college library, computer labs, and auditorium, the college is known for being very active in extra curricular activities and sports. Green Beans, the KNC eco club proliferates environment consciousness among students. Other club and bodies to propagate awareness are creative writing societies, wall paper society, fine arts and decoration society, dance society, music societies, debating society, film society, counseling center, women development center.
