1. Introduction : Spread around in 16.5 acres of Land in the centre of Delhi Lady Irwin College was established in 1932 under the directorship of Mrs. Hannah Sen. Hostel in the college premises started in 1936. The college shifted to its present premises in 1938.

4. Facilities : Covering 500 square meter of area college library started in 1930. The College Canteen at Lady Willingdon Cottage is right place to get oneself loose and involved in easy chats. Computer Resource centre is provided with the state of the art computer facilities. Hostel has limited seats in the college and is provided to outsiders with local guardians in Delhi. Placement Cell at the college provides professional assistance to the students in getting career of their choice.
