1. Introduction : Lady Shri Ram College for Women (LSR) was established in 1956 in New Delhi by the late Sir Shri Ram in memory of his wife. The college had its modest beginnings in a school building in Daryaganj, Central Delhi, but now is located in a 15 acre campus in Lajpat Nagar in South Delhi with about 2000 students, over 150 faculty, administrative and support staff and 16 courses of study. The college has consistently made
it to the top 5 colleges as ranked by India Today.

 4. Facilities : The LSR campus houses a residence for 300 women students with an in-house dispensary and library. LSR's amenities include a newly renovated, computerized user-friendly library with even internet; the 'Ramakrishna Dalmia Auditorium, a students' cafeteria and a counseling and placement cell. Sports training facilities for lawn tennis, basketball, shooting, volleyball, chess, table tennis, yoga, aerobics and martial arts are available.

5. Edge : LSR is the only College under Delhi University that organizes Annual Sports Meet as well as an Annual Cross Country Run based on an issue of social awareness.
