5. Edge : In 2004, Sri Venkateswara College was recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as the "College with Potential for Excellence". Only 47 colleges in the country and two in Delhi University have been acknowledged by UGC for this award. In the year 2005, UGC and NASSCOM mutually recognized the College as one of the four pilot centers to set-up Techno Business Skill Development (TSD) projects in the country. The College has already taken inventiveness to identify the areas of alliance between the Industry and the College.
